20% First Responder and Military Discounts in Three Rivers and Sequoia National Park

Our Way of Saying Thanks

Every year, from January 1st through March 31st, local participating businesses offer 20% off, of whatever they produce or provide, to anyone who has ever served in the military, or as a first responder. This includes firefighters, EMS, law enforcement and peace officers. By the Thanksgiving holiday, we post the list of participating businesses at http://www.threerivers.com/ so you can plan to visit us, and enjoy your discounts!


Special Events Planned

Saturday January 17th - Annual Snowman building contest at Wuksachi Lodge in Sequoia National Park, with free spiced hot cider for participants and prizes for the best entries. Individuals, couples, and families are invited to build a snowman. 11 am to 4 pm. Free. Open to the Public. Park entrance fee required. Note: Event will be postponed if there is insufficient snow. Friday January 30th - Annual Firefighters/EMS Celebration at Three Rivers Historical Museum in Three Rivers, CA with free wine, beer, hot soup, homemade bread, and desserts. Individuals being honored tell us stories, and each honoree goes home with a unique piece of art from a Three Rivers artist! In 2015, we're honoring Ben Jacobs and Tyson Lewis. 7 pm. Free. Thursday February 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th - Annual Learn to Square Dance Parties at Three Rivers Memorial Building in Three Rivers, CA with free light refreshments on the 5th, 12th and 19th plus a pie social to celebrate our last dance on the 26th! Taught by professional Square Dance caller Rick Hampton. 7-9 pm. Free. Open to the Public. Info: 559-561-4270

Friday February 27th - Annual Law Enforcement Celebration at Three Rivers Historical Museum in Three Rivers, CA with free wine, beer, hot soup, homemade bread, and desserts. Individuals being honored tell us stories, and each honoree goes home with a unique piece of art from a Three Rivers artist! In 2015, we're honoring Dot Crain and Mark Frick. 7 pm. Free. Friday March 27th - Annual Armed Forces Celebration at Three Rivers Historical Museum in Three Rivers, CA with free wine, beer, hot soup, homemade bread, and desserts. Individuals being honored tell us stories, and each honoree goes home with a unique piece of art from a Three Rivers artist! In 2015, we're honoring Tony Harris, Lisa Harris and Gary Potter. 7 pm. Saturday March 28th - Annual Picnic with Bathtub Race at Lake Kaweah. Pre-registered Teams build floatable steerable boats from cast iron bathtubs and the raw materials provided, then race across Lake Kaweah and back, for charity! 11 am to 4 pm. Free for attendees. Open to the Public. Racing Teams pay a registration fee in advance. The Army Corps at Lake Kaweah has waived their day use parking fee for the duration of the event. Info: 559-561-4270
