Public Input Sought on Mineral King Management Plan
Public scoping period open from April 19, 2010 through June 30, 2010
The National Park Service (NPS) invites the public to participate in
scoping for the Mineral King Management Plan and Environmental Assessment
(MKMP). The last comprehensive plan for the Mineral King Area was completed
in 1980. The purpose of this plan is to evaluate recommendations from
park-wide planning documents and determine which would be implemented
through the MKMP; to address current and future needs related to visitor
use, natural and cultural resources protection, and land protection; to
provide long-term management direction for the Mineral King area; and to
establish direction and guidance for the protection of the Mineral King
Road Cultural Landscape District.
Public scoping is an opportunity for interested individuals, organizations,
agencies, and tribes to provide thoughtful, relevant information or
suggestions for consideration by park managers before alternatives are
developed and analyzed for the MKMP.
Four meetings are scheduled to help facilitate public involvement and to
provide you with more information on the draft project purpose, needs, and
objectives. The meetings will begin with a brief presentation, followed by
a question and answer period. The public will then be invited to discuss
their interests and concerns with park staff in an open house forum. The
NPS is also drafting architectural design guidelines for the Mineral King
Cultural Landscape District and a preliminary draft document will be
available for review and discussion at the public scoping meetings. If you
would like a copy of these draft guidelines once they are ready for public
review, please contact Cultural Resource Specialist Tom Burge at (559)
565-3139.

*Free* Hand Printing
Date: Sat. Jun. 19
Location: 42854 Sierra Dr.(Kay's House)
Any time between 10:00am to 3:00pm
What to bring? Your hands, your curiosity and your smile.
Children * Teens * Adults
If there is a wait, feel fee to relax on my deck looking onto the Sierras or visit The Lounge and look through the books in the library.
You'll be helping me create an exceptional hand analysis course that will be taught to hundreds (if not thousands) of people over the coming years, perhaps for the rest of my life!
Your hand print will be in my file for future reference, if you choose to have a follow-up reading. The entire hand changes over time but the fingerprints do not.
It'll be like an Open-House. Take a break and relax (I don't really have an ocean in my front yard).
Bring a buddy and bond. Share new insights with each other.
If I've already printed your hands and IF we have time, we can quickly compare the two for changes between then-and-now.
Most of all.... you'll get a short reading for *FREE*
Rare opportunity to ask a question and receive guidance based on the information in your hands.
Need I go on????
The turn into my drive way is between Hawk Hollow and The White Horse Inn. Look for the sign "Hand Readings Today." Call 559-561-4490 if you have questions.
